Coil lifting cranes
are suspended from an overhead cranes for lifting
a coil of strip material having a central opening. The coil
lifting cranes have standard components like vertical
lifting arm, lifting surface, upper/lower portion, etc. The
coil lifter may have a single or a pair of lifter arms.
The lifting arm includes a facing surface adjacent to a coil
edge, side surfaces and a pair of spaced apart rollers made from
an elastic laminated material for preventing damage to the edge
of the coil. Coil lifting cranes have a pair of spaced
wheels, mounted on opposite sides of the lifting arm.
The wheels are vertically off-set from one another. The lifting
arm includes a horizontally extending lower portion. The lifting
cranes can be used for transporting a coil of strip
material such as steel, aluminum, copper, paper or the like.
These coil lifting cranes do not have to be replaced frequently.
In addition, these cranes are very balanced while in
operation. |
